The Disability Foundation Network is excited to welcome Graeme Wyman as its new Executive Director. Mary-Jo Fetterly, the Chairwoman of the Disability Foundation, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I am absolutely thrilled to announce the appointment of Graeme Wyman as our new Executive Director. Graeme brings an impressive track record of success and a deep understanding of our organizations’ mission and values.”
With over a decade of dedicated service to the Disability Foundation and its affiliated societies, Graeme has played a vital role in shaping the organization. His journey began in March 2014 with the Vancouver Adapted Music Society (VAMS), where he discovered a supportive community that has become instrumental in his professional development. In September 2021, Graeme became a Program Manager with the Disability Foundation, overseeing impactful initiatives that have significantly transformed the lives of many within the community.
Mary-Jo added, “We are so proud of Graeme and his impressive performance through interviews, all throughout a very challenging hiring process.” Graeme’s leadership has already resulted in remarkable growth for the organization, with initiatives like expanding the Disabled Independent Gardeners Association into new sites and partnerships that enhance community engagement.
Graeme Wyman’s academic credentials further complement his professional expertise. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Production and Engineering from the Berklee School of Music and a Master of Arts in Global Entertainment and Music Business from Berklee’s Valencia campus. His educational background equips him to contribute effectively towards fulfilling the Foundation’s strategic goals.
“Graeme’s rich experience spanning decades with our organization will serve to position us well as we meet the needs of our community and through our next phases of development and growth,” Mary-Jo concluded. As he steps into this new role, Graeme looks forward to leveraging his extensive experience and passion for social change to create equitable opportunities for individuals living with disabilities, fostering a more inclusive and accessible world.
